The Registry of Fiscal Advisory Economists (REAF) has published its annual report entitled “Panorama of Autonomous and Foral Taxation”. It observed the tax changes approved by the Autonomous Community. The conclusion of this report is that the taxes to be paid lower that are processed in the inheritance, and on the contrary, the taxes in the sale of homes increase.
1. The succession tax drops in five Autonomous Communities
Andalusia, Asturias, Castilla y León, Extremadura and Murcia are the autonomous communities that have reduced taxes related to inheritances. For their part, only Cantabria and Navarra have uploaded the Inheritance Tax.
2. The Patrimonial Transmissions Tax
The Patrimonial Transmissions Tax, which taxes the sale of second -hand housing, also has a different application depending on each autonomous community.
For example, Madrid and Navarra sets the property transmissions tax by 6%. On the other hand, in other communities it reaches up to 10%, and even in other communities the tax is proportional to the price of housing.
3. The assets tax
Spain and France are the only two countries of the European Union that have a tribute like this. In fact, France plans to eliminate it soon. Will the same thing happen in Spain?
